Professional Background

Dr. Peter Chow is an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and is the director of dermatopathology in the Department of Pathology.

Dr. Chow graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University. He then received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he received the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society awards. He completed his intern preliminary year in internal medicine at the Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. He proceeded to complete his residency in dermatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Finally, he completed his fellowship in dermatopathology at Saint Louis University Hospital.

Dr. Chow is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

His clinical and academic interests includes melanoma and pigmented lesions, clinicopathologic correlation, and resident education.
