Projects and Collaborations

The Center for African American Health is actively involved in many projects underway across our campuses and in communities across our state. In addition, we are developing new programs with partners. Learn about some of the programs we support or present in collaboration with our partners.

Educational Programs

Research and Outreach Programs

  • REPAIR Project — designed to address racism in medicine as an educational problem by providing a theoretical framework for coordinating and implementing social justice and anti-racism curriculum throughout the medical center.
  • Kansas Birth Equity Network — a statewide effort based in the KU School of Medicine Department of Population Health, KBEN focuses on creating solutions that improve Black maternal, paternal and infant health through training, research, health care and advocacy.
