Age
The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 prohibits employers from excluding an individual's participation in or denying the benefits of educational programs and activities on the basis of age. The Age Discrimination Act protects against discrimination based on any age.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) prohibits employers from treating any applicant, employee, or faculty member unfavorably with respect to the terms, conditions, and privileges of employment because of such individual's age. The ADEA's protections apply to individuals over 40 years old.
If you believe you have been subjected to age discrimination or have witnessed age discrimination, please contact the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX at civilrights@ku.edu, or file a report online.
