Research
Overview
I am an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, with a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. I am very involved in our local GI Interest Group, serving as one of two faculty mentors for the group, which is composed of resident physicians and medical students interested in a career in gastroenterology and hepatology. Our research group has been active in a variety of academic projects, including meta-analyses, retrospective studies and case reports. We are also beginning participation in clinical trials for patients with inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology, as well as a registry study for patients with Barrett's esophagus. We will begin training gastroenterology fellows in July 2022, who will be active participants in our research team.
