Internal Advisory Committee (IAC)
The IAC is responsible for monitoring the progress and quality of the program and for recommending applicants for training. The IAC meets regularly throughout the year to discuss the selection of trainees, to evaluate trainee progress, to discuss selection of additional mentors and to consider other issues related to the execution of the training program.
At each meeting the committee invites one of the pre-doctoral trainees to discuss potential improvements to the program. Members of the IAC are:

- Kenneth J. Fischer, Ph.D., Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering Program Director
- Irina V. Smirnova, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of the Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science Program
- Jacob J. Sosnoff, Ph.D. Professor and Associate Dean for Research, School of Health Professions
- John A. Stanford, Ph.D. Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, School of Medicine
