Megan Turner, MSN, RN, CHSE is a Clinical Instructor within the traditional baccalaureate program at the University of Kansas- School of Nursing. Ms. Turner’s primary responsibilities include facilitating learning within the simulation laboratory.
As a Registered Nurse, Ms. Turner has cared for adult patients across the acute care spectrum, including within inpatient rehabilitation and hospice, medical-surgical, progressive care, and intensive care settings. Ms. Turner’s experience also includes caring for culturally diverse adult patient populations at numerous Level I Trauma Centers across the United States, as a travel nurse.
Ms. Turner obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, with a concentration in nursing education from the University of Arkansas in 2021, where she also received the Future of Nursing Education Award. In addition to her interests in simulation and experiential learning, Ms. Turner is passionate about incorporating education related to lifestyle considerations into nursing education. She also has experience as an affiliate faculty with the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she facilitated simulation experiences for new graduate nurses within the Post Baccalaureate Registered Nurse Residency Program. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at the University of Kansas- School of Nursing.
