Professional Background

As a new faculty, it is easy to remember what it is like to be primarily in a learner role. I try to employ the things that I appreciated as a learner into my interactions with students and residents. These are mainly giving learners responsibility to make the decisions their own, a nonintimidating learning environment where learners feel safe to make attempts, and support in rounding out their own learning as needed.
