Professional Background
Mitesh Patel, M.D., is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He grew up in St. Louis and completed his internal medicine training and a chief year at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He then moved to Kansas City to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Kansas.
Dr. Patel cares for patients with general gastrointestinal diseases and enjoys spending time with his patients to discuss their condition and treatment options. He performs both upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. He has a clinical interest in obesity medicine and bariatric endoscopy.
He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Obesity Medicine Association.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys exercising, traveling, scuba diving and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
