Dr. Michael McCartney
is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University
of Kansas Health System, where he currently serves as the Associate Division Director for
the Multi-Specialty Anesthesia Division. He is also the Director for
Simulation Education within the Anesthesiology residency program at the
University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. McCartney’s
research interests include the care of the trauma patient, neuromuscular
blockade monitoring and reversal, and the use of simulation as a tool for
medical education.
