Professional Background

Dr. Megan Madrigal is originally from Kansas City, Kansas and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Additionally, she is the Associate Clerkship Director for the Obstetrics andamp; Gynecology clinical rotation at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She has long had a passion for clinical medical education, and takes immense pride and pleasure in helping to train residents and medical students.

Dr. Madrigal has a Bachelor of Arts in history from New York University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Kansas, where she received the honor of induction to AOA. She went on to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Christiana Care in Newark, Delaware. She returned home to Kansas City to work in academic medicine in the metro area for several years, prior to joining the University of Kansas Medical Center in July, 2023.

Dr. Madrigal is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and practices compassionate, evidenced based full spectrum care. She brings her passion for education into the exam room, and she strives to have her patients leave feeling more comfortable and aware of OB/GYN care as well as their own bodies, health, and conditions. She believes in equity, reproductive justice, and creating a welcoming place for people and patients of all backgrounds. She enjoys managing pregnancies, including low and high-risk obstetric patients as well as safe vaginal birth after cesarean section. She provides routine gynecologic care, including wellness visits, contraceptive counseling, early pregnancy loss care, and management of abnormal pap testing. She performs minimally invasive surgeries, including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeries.
