Professional Background

Margaret Logan is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. She completed her medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her residency in neurology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in. Following her residency, Dr. Logan completed an epilepsy fellowship at KU in 2024. A member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society, Dr. Logan is also Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certified.
Dr. Logan’s clinical interests include epilepsy neurology and general neurology.


Research

Overview

Dr. Logan’s research interests include the treatment of strokes and epilepsy. She has co-authored publications on bilateral opercular stroke and an overlapping case of serotonin syndrome and status epilepticus. She is also currently developing research that examines racial disparities in urine drug screenings in patients with seizures.
