Professional Background

Miles Crowley MD, MPH completed his training in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine for medical school and obtained a Masters in Public Health degree during his training. He was born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas and obtained his undergraduate degree in biology. Currently in Family Medicine he works with the Gender Diversity Clinic and see's his own set of patients. he enjoys working with the LGBTQ population and managing care of patients in this category. He also works as a hospitalist and takes care of sick patients who are admitted to the hospital. A large proportion of his role is in teaching and education, both for medical students and resident physicians. He coordinates didactic lectures from specialists and is interested in improving the educational curriculum for students at multiple levels. He also serves on the wellness committee for residency and for the Department of Family Medicine. With medical students he works as a facilitator for Problem Based Learning groups and CBCL groups for first and second year medical students.
He hopes to further his academic career with pursing more in the scope of LGBTQ medicine and HIV care. He also is continuing to work at improving his research and scholarly activity as it pertains to wellness, residency and medical student curriculum development.
