Professional Background
Dr. Mejalli Al-Kofahi specializes in non-invasive cardiology and advanced imaging. His vision is to provide comprehensive yet individualized evidence-based cardiovascular care to all his patients. A care built on long lasting relationships that provides a holistic approach going beyond diagnosis and treatment to include prevention, risk factor modification and medical treatment optimization. His areas of interest include multi-modality advanced imaging and health informatics. Dr. Al-Kofahi earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita campus before moving back to the Kansas City area to complete his graduate medical training. He completed internal medicine residency, and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Followed by an extra year spent focusing on advanced training in cardiac MRI and CT. In between residency and fellowship, he did a chief residency year focusing on quality improvement and patient safety at the Kansas City VA.
