Dr. Satterwhite is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Sleep and Critical Care Medicine. He serves as the medical director of the Medical ICUs, as chair of the Critical Care Committee and Inpatient Section Chief for the Division.
Dr. Satterwhite received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and also completed his Internal Medicine residency, Chief Residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowships all at Emory University. After completing fellowship, he joined the faculty at the University of Kansas in 2011 and has been a member of the Division since that time.
Dr. Satterwhite is active in teaching within the American College of Chest Physicians and serves as a Co-chair for Ultrasound: Integration into Clinical Practice as well as completing service as Chair of the Ultrasound Domain Task Force.
At the University of Kansas, Dr. Satterwhite has clinical interests in Pulmonary Hypertension, Critical Care, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, and ICU Fluid Management.
