Dr Maguire is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Maguire earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from the College of William andamp; Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She then graduated from Virginia Tech Carilion's School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia before completing residency and fellowship in Clinical and Administrative Research at Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida. She has a variety of experience working in different Emergency Department settings, but finds her passion in working with and teaching residents and medical students.

Overview
Dr. Maguire has published on a variety of topics related to Emergency Medicine, including emergency department pain management, trauma, and psychiatric emergencies. Her primary interests are in developing advances in Emergency Psychiatry and the role of Emergency Medicine in addiction and substance abuse.
