Professional Background

Dr. Laura Kirk is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her clinical interests include Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia, anesthesia in orthopedic and spine surgery, trauma anesthesiology, and care in the immediate post-anesthesia period. She is a member of the Department's Executive Committee, Acute Pain Service, and Schedule Running team. Dr. Kirk is the Associate Division Director of the Multi-Specialty Anesthesia Group. She received her medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed her residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado. She has been practicing at the University of Kansas Medical Center since August of 2018.
