Professional Background

Leah Ade, MPH, MLS(ASCP)cm, is a clinical assistant professor in the KU Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and joined the faculty at KU Medical Center in July 2022. She currently teaches courses in immunology, immunohematology and professional development. Additionally, she chairs the program's admissions committee and serves as an advisor to incoming students.

Ade received her bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science from the University of Kansas in 2019 and subsequently received certification as a medical laboratory scientist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

In 2021, Ade attained her master's degree in public health from Purdue University Global of Indianapolis, Indiana, with a specialty in applied health informatics.

In addition to her faculty responsibilities, Ade is actively engaged in clinical work in medical laboratories at The University of Kansas Health System where she runs high complexity testing in chemistry, hematology and blood banking .
