Professional Background

Dr. Ramirez Henry is faculty in the graduate nursing program at the University of Kansas School.

Dr. Ramirez Henry received her master of science in nursing with a nurse-midwifery specialization from the University of Kansas. She completed her doctorate of nursing in May 2021. The focus of her DNP project recognized perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.

Dr. Ramirez Henry has over twenty years of obstetrical care experience. She spent twelve years providing obstetrical care as a labor and delivery nurse. Dr. Ramirez Henry has practiced full-scope midwifery care in rural Missouri in the last twelve years. In her role as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, she has precepted numerous graduate nursing students, mentored nurses through their advanced practice degrees, and started a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder support group.
