Professional Background

Kelli Netson-Amore, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist, certified with the American Boards of Professional Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. Dr. Netson specializes in pediatric neuropsychology and has interests in cognitive and functional outcomes after cancer and other chronic illnesses and ecological validity of neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Netson serves as the Training Director for a program that trains predoctoral psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows in clinical neuropsychology, and she is the Clinical Director of the KUSM-W Neuropsychology Clinic. Dr. Netson consults with a number of community agencies on childhood mental health needs and provides formal mentorship to other professionals through the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology.

Research

Overview

Dr. Netson conducts clinical research and supervises students in their research endeavors. Recent collaborations have examined cognitive profiles of children prenatally exposed to alcohol and drugs of abuse, and children who have experienced various forms of maltreatment. Dr. Netson has also collaborated with colleagues nationwide to explore post-treatment cognitive needs in survivors of pediatric cancers.
