Overview
Research Focus:
My research interest is in the field of Polycystic Kidney Disease and I am involved in both clinical and translational research here at KU Medical Center. The clinical trials in which I am involved focus on discovering therapeutic treatments, which slow cyst growth. My work in translational research is based on my interest in finding reliable biomarkers that would assist in disease progression assessment and predict renal decline.
Clinical Interests
I am a general nephrologist interested in the full spectrum of kidney disease. My areas of focus include acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, and electrolyte and acid base abnormalities. I provide a full spectrum of care, including inpatient care to hospital patients and outpatient care to long-term kidney disease patients in outpatient clinic. I have a special interest in medical education which I continue through working with medical students, residents, and fellows.
