Kelsey E. Larson, MD, FACS

Assistant Professor, Surgery
Professional Background
Dr. Larson's practice is completely dedicated to breast surgery patients, particularly those with breast cancer or those who are at high risk for breast cancer. She has extensive fellowship-level training in advanced surgical techniques, including oncoplastic surgery and nipple-sparing mastectomy. In addition, she has an interest in clinical research as well as clinical education.
Dr. Larson is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has earned both FACS and FSSO designations. She is the current NAPBC Committee Chair for KU Cancer Center, Program Director for the SSO-Approved Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship, Chair of the Surgery Research Committee, and immediate past President of the Kansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. She serves on the Selected Readings Committee for the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) as well as on the Education Committee nationally for CoC.
