Kendra L. Ford is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She currently teaches in the undergraduate prelicensure nursing program. Her nursing career spans 30 years and includes experience in diverse specialties including medical-surgical, I.V. therapy, cardiac step-down, diabetes education, pain management, and clinical research nurse coordination in the fields of oncology, vaccine studies, and otolaryngology. In 2015, she shifted her focus from ambulatory nursing to nursing education and began teaching nursing courses online with several universities. In 2017, she joined the KU School of Nursing as full-time faculty.
Kendra is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.

Overview
Professor Ford is currently interested in collaborating on a variety of research projects, particularly those that involve spirituality in nursing, pharmacology, nurse wellness, holistic care, and the role of nutrition in preventing disease.
