Kristin Constance, M.D.

Professional Background

Dr. Constance is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita (KUSM-W) and serves as an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency program at KUSM-W. She received her medical training from the University of Kansas School of Medicine graduating in 2017. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at KUSM-W followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center (UT-MDACC). Her primary role is as an infectious disease specialist practicing with the Infectious Disease Consultants (IDC) group as well as serving as faculty for KUSM-W.

Overview

Dr. Constance’s research interests include large database studies, bacteriology (Staphylococci), and antimicrobial resistance. She has a special interest in Staphylococcus lugdunensis virulence/clinical presentation and antimicrobial resistance. She has presented her work at local and national conferences.
