Professional Background

Kirsten Bjorkman, M.D., Pharm.D., is board certified in Pediatric Medicine. She is an assistant professor with KU School of Medicine-Wichita. Dr. Bjorkman graduated from the American University of The Caribbean School of Medicine in 2016. Dr. Bjorkman also is a Doctor of Pharmacy, with an additional degree in Environmental Geology. Teaching is one of her favorite aspects of her career.

Research

Overview

Dr. Bjorkman is currently the Wichita Principal Investigator for the BREATHE study, a 2-year study observing how air quality affects bronchiolitis symptoms in infants. The study is part of Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO), a subset of the NIH.
