Kurt Wall, M.D., MPH, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Before coming to KU Medical Center, he was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Adjunct Professor of Internal Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wall completed his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience with a minor in music at Washington University in St. Louis. He finished his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine along with a master’s of public health from the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Dr. Wall completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, including serving one year as chief resident, at the Tulane University School of Medicine. He also was chosen as the 2021 Psychiatry Resident of the Year, an honor presented by the Tulane University School of Medicine Owl Club.
In addition to being an active teacher and presenter, Dr. Wall is a member of the Association of Consult-Liaison Psychiatry as well as the Association of Medicine and Psychiatry. His clinical time is spent as an attending physician on the KUMC Consult-Liaison Psychiatry service, supervising Psychiatry and Internal Medicine / Psychiatry residents in their outpatient clinics, and providing collaborative psychiatric care at the University of Kansas Cancer Center.
In his free time, Dr. Wall enjoys traveling, exploring national parks, and taking care of his two cats, Lua and Remy.
