Dr. Jordan Wilkerson is a proud Hoosier, having grown up in the small town of Madison, Indiana. He attended Indiana University for his undergraduate education as well as his medical school training. Upon graduation, he completed his general surgery training at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN where he served as an administrate chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Wilkerson subsequently completed a fellowship in minimally invasive thoracic and foregut surgery at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA prior to returning to the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis for his formal cardiothoracic surgery fellowship. He was recognized with several teaching awards and an academic achievement award during his cardiothoracic surgery training.
Dr. Wilkerson has authored numerous book chapters and manuscripts pertaining to general thoracic surgery. His clinical interests include all aspects of thoracic surgery but particularly benign esophageal/foregut disease, thoracic oncology, and surgical education.
