Joseph Wend, DO

Professional Background

Joseph Wend, D.O., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at KU Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences and completed his neurology residency at KU Medical Center. Prior to his faculty appointment, Dr. Wend completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at KU Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Wend’s clinical interests include vascular neurology and general neurology.

Overview

Dr. Wend’s research interests include vascular neurology and diagnosing neurological disorders. He has delivered four Grand Rounds presentations for the University of Kansas Department of Neurology. Dr. Wend has also presented at the Department of Neurology’s Research Day in 2021 and 2022.
