Dr. Julie Holding is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She earned her medical degree, graduated summa cum laude in Plastic Surgery from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She completed her residency in a dedicated Plastic Surgery program at The University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed a plastic surgery microsurgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Holding joined the University of Kansas Department of Plastic Surgery September 2012. She leads resident education in the microsurgery lab and filler and neurotoxin clinics. In 2014, she established the Midwest Institute for Microsurgery fellowship program as the program director.
Clinically, Dr. Holding believes in comprehensive patient care. Based on effective communication and trust, Dr. Holding strives to fully understand her patient's expressed needs and goals of their treatment. In doing so, she provides information on their options for care, formulates an individualized treatment plan and is a source of support throughout the treatment process.

Dr. Holding's Research has been clinically focused with outcomes and innovations in breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, body contouring, fat grafting, Fillers and neurotoxins, resident education and Patient education.
