Professional Background
Dr. John Flynn is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery. He completed fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from University of Texas Health System in San Antonio and completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
With a passion for treatment of facial paralysis, Dr. Flynn has clinical expertise in surgical procedures for restoration of facial movement. Through a multidisciplinary team approach, he focuses on comprehensive medical and surgical management for those with facial paralysis. He actively participates in clinical research to advance outcomes in treatment of facial paralysis disorders.
Dr. Flynn also performs a wide variety of facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, Mohs defect reconstruction (after removal of skin cancer), ear reconstruction, and facial trauma. He also specializes in cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower facelift, blepharoplasty, and other facial rejuvenation procedures.
