Professional Background

I am a practicing general internist in the ambulatory setting at The University of Kansas Health System. I completed my internal medicine residency training from Indiana University in 2006, and I have been employed by The University of Kansas School of Medicine since 2007. My current clinical work is fully in the ambulatory setting, however, in the past, I practiced as a hospitalist as well as palliative care consultant for TUKHS.

Not only am productive in my division, I also deliver high-quality care, and am considered cost-saving for third-party insurance carriers. In addition to practicing cost-conscious care, I have a very high patient satisfaction rating. I am consistently evaluated as a "top box" physician. In 2020, I was ranked the #1 physician in the entire health system, out of nearly 1100 physicians.

I have held leadership positions in residency medical education since 2008. In 2024, I was promoted to be the founding program director for the Internal Medicine Residency program at the Olathe campus of TUKHS. We will welcome our inaugural class of residents in July 2025.

(November 2007 - Present)
