Clinical Interest:
My area of practice focuses in patients that need either a kidney or pancreas transplant. My work includes pre-transplantation evaluation, perioperative management, and lifelong cares after transplant. I also manage patients that have a combined liver and kidney transplant. Additionally, I have particular interest in Transplantation in the Latino community.
Research Interest:
Includes immunology, induction and maintenance immunosuppression, rejection, biomarkers for rejection, novel therapies in transplantation, and viral infections affecting the transplant population. I am also interest in health discrepancies in transplant, specially within the Latino population.
