Professional Background

Dr. Chandler completed medical school in 2018 having attended Kansas City University where he also earned a Master of Arts in Bioethics while enrolled in the dual degree program. He then completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Following residency, he completed a chief residency year where he was the Chief Resident of Quality and Safety at the Kansas City VA. He then continued his training completing fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He specializes in pulmonary hypertension seeing patients at the University of Kansas Health System Pulmonary Hypertension Comprehensive Care Center and attends in the medical intensive care unit. Within academic medicine, he is a clinician educator and has a core faculty position within the internal medicine program with a focus on quality improvement and simulation. ​

Dr. Chandler also has special interest in pulmonary based procedures including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion.
