Professional Background

Dr. Tikhanovich is an Assistant Professor at University of Kansas Medical Center. She has a broad background in biochemistry and molecular biology, with specific expertise in liver biology and molecular mechanisms involved in progression of liver disease. Her research interests focus on the role of epigenetic regulation in the various aspects of liver disease, particularly in liver cirrhosis .Dr. Tikhanovich is currently a Principal investigator on a R01 studying role of arginine methyltransferase PRMT1 in alcohol associated liver disease.
