Services for Health Care Employers
Dedicated to building and maintaining a strong healthcare workforce to meet the needs of rural and urban underserved Kansas communities – we are the Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC). We serve as a valued partner by providing front-line recruitment services to Kansas health care organizations while also fostering a workforce pipeline of mission-hearted health care professionals.
In addition to implementing best practices for recruitment, KRRC leverages partnerships with academic health professions programs to share career opportunities as well as advocate and educate future health care providers on the benefits of working in rural and underserved communities.
Recruitment
Recruitment specialists work one-on-one with health care employers to develop an opportunity description, identify key characteristics of an ideal candidate, create a marketing plan to recruit candidates, and offer guidance throughout the interview and hiring process. The KRRC specializes in the recruitment of physicians, dentists, PAs, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health, and behavioral health professionals.
The KRRC only recruits for Kansas! Health care organizations in rural, urban underserved, and metro areas can sign up to experience the benefits of partnering with the KRRC (PDF) to find health care providers.
Getting Started
- Contact the KRRC office to discuss your workforce needs and determine the best contract fit. Reach out to Natalie Olmsted, Program Manager, at 316-293-3489 or nolmsted@kumc.edu
- Once a contract fit is determined, Natalie will work with you to receive the descriptions of your current opportunities, providing guidance on what candidates are seeking in their search.
- KRRC will then share your positions with our current active profession-specific candidate pool and post to multiple job boards.
- When a candidate expresses interest, KRRC will directly refer the candidate to you to connect.
The KRRC will start recruiting and share the opportunity with the appropriate candidate pool. When candidates are identified, the KRRC will send referrals and set up a time for you to connect with them. All candidates that have been referred have already been prescreened and expressed an interest in the opportunity and community.
Retention
The KRRC recognizes that focused retention efforts are essential to building and maintaining a strong workforce. From building a detailed retention plan to conducting an employee satisfaction survey, the KRRC has a wide range of services to fit your organization's needs for retention support.
