Don't miss your opportunity to visit one-on-one with health care employers from across Kansas at the 29th Kansas Career Opportunities (KCO).
Representatives from over 50 health care employers attend KCO in hopes of recruiting the most talented health care professionals in Kansas.
KCO provides a chance to:
- learn more about what rural and underserved Kansas communities have to offer
- start building relationships with potential employers
- find out which employers offer special incentives such as mission-minded recruitment
- brush up on interviewing and communication skills
- inquire more about loan forgiveness and repayment options
- build connections to begin providing locum tenens/temporary coverage services
If you have any questions about KCO, or for KCO supporter and advertising opportunities, give us a call at 316-293-2649. Our KCO coordinators, Laurie and Allison, will be happy to assist you!
Even if you will not be practicing for several years, there are several reasons why KCO may still be for you:
- Receive information from national and state loan forgiveness programs.
- Network with future colleagues and administrators.
- Discover the wide range of practice options Kansas communities offer.
- Talk with exhibitors about providing Locum Tenens temporary coverage for them and make extra money during residency.
- Scope out what kind of physician specialties Kansas communities are projecting they will need.
- Get the inside scoop on what it's like to practice in rural Kansas at the panel presentation at 3 p.m. (Wichita only)
- How far in advance are employers willing to sign physicians?
- Do they take part in loan forgiveness or repayment programs?
- Do they hire residents to provide temporary coverage (a.k.a. moonlighting) through the Kansas Locum Tenens program? (Residents can earn extra money and gain valuable experience working in various facilities.)
- What is their patient population?
- What services are available at their hospital?
Dress is business casual.
Bring a copy of your CV/résumé and a list of questions that you would like to ask exhibitors.
KCO is free to all attendees!
Complimentary heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided in Kansas City and Wichita. Lunch and bottled drinks will be provided in Salina.
Yes, we do not share your contact information with exhibitors or any third parties, unless you give us permission to do so.
You will have expedited check-in and receive pre-printed name tag and contact labels.
