About the Program

Now offered in the spring, this exciting and FREE three-day program takes 14-16 Kansas high school junior and senior female students who have shown a strong interest and commitment to health care careers and provides them with the opportunity to interact with health professions students and faculty at KU Medical Center. Through this program, the students have the chance to explore the world of health care on their way to becoming the next generation of female leaders in health care.

How to Participate

Each year, the KU AHEC will open the application period in the fall. Interested students must submit a completed application along with the required recommendation and permission forms. The application and required forms will be posted when the application window opens again. Once the application closes, the applications will be reviewed and selected students will be notified via the email address provided on their application.

This opportunity is provided at no cost to the student. Students selected will be provided transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals.
