Wyandotte County Health Department: The Wyandotte County Public Health Department works to improve health in our community in many ways - from services like vaccines and family planning, to community initiatives that work to address the root causes affecting residents' health and quality of life. Hope Lodge: Part of the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge provides a free place for patients to stay during treatment so people with cancer can focus on getting better. Partners with School of Health Professions/Occupational Therapy.
Johnson County Mental Health: a community government organization that works to improve the quality of life of Johnson County residents through comprehensive mental health services. Partners with School of Health Professions/Occupational Therapy.
Parkinson’s Exercise and Wellness Center: A unique 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, provides an array of exercise programs that target motor and nonmotor skills, balance, speech, and sensory function to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s Disease. Reclamation Clubhouse: A community mental health organization that functions under the 'Clubhouse Model' serving adults with mental health conditions with a goal of providing a safe place to engage in and explore productive activities that translate to productive engagement in the community. Southeast Enterprises: Southeast Enterprises' Mission is "Providing meaningful employment and opportunities to help adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) live life to the fullest." Learn from and with Southeast Enterprises associates (employed individuals with IDD) to improve personal and professional skills involved in the meaningful occupation of work. Veronica’s Voice: A nonprofit organization that works to empower women who have survived human trafficking. Partners with School of Health Professions/Occupational Therapy.
CHAMPS Achievers Foundation: Community-based organization teaching children and adults adapted self-defense and other martial arts skills to maximize safety awareness, mobility, and social participation. Partners with School of Health Professions/Occupational Therapy.
El Centro Academy for Children: The Academy for Children, in Kansas City, Kansas, is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children – NAEYC as a dual-language early childhood education program. Partners with School of Health Professions/Occupational Therapy.
