Frontiers Clinical and Translational Science Institute: Opportunities for students to tour Children’s Mercy Research Institute and the University of Kansas Medical Center’s Clinical and Translational Science Unit at the Fairway campus to learn more about research and possible careers. Meet with researchers  to learn about their work. There is also an opportunity for students to attend Frontiers Annual Research Symposium to learn about research, network with researchers and support staff, and more. Accelerate Cancer Education Internship Program: A 6-week paid summer research program that provides students with firsthand educational experiences related to oncology and a variety of potential career paths.

KEE Research and Observation Experiences: Provides research opportunities in medical center research facilities.

Masonic Cancer Alliance Summer Internship: Allows up to three students to complete a summer internship implementing evidence-based community education programs across Kansas and western Missouri.

Media Project: A collaborative learning community environment in which students are encouraged to develop connections with peers to reinforce the collaborative nature of learning through consensus building.

The University of Kansas Health System Volunteers: For teens who have an interest in the healthcare field to get firsthand experience in both patient care and non-patient care sides of the health system.

The University of Kansas Health System Shadow Experience: Shadow a healthcare provider in a hospital or clinical setting.
