Will Alumni Reunion Weekend be virtual or in person?
All Alumni Reunion Weekend events during Oct. 5-7 will take place in person on the Kansas City campus and in the Kansas City metro area. Virtual attendance will be available for the Alumni Awards Recognition Ceremony on Friday.
How is KU Medical Center evaluating its safety protocols?
KU Medical Center continues to monitor conditions and regularly consults with public health officials. The university follows the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the county health departments and our clinical partner, The University of Kansas Health System.
How do I register?
All alumni who plan to attend any Alumni Reunion Weekend activities should register online by Friday, September 29. Registration reserves your spot in programs that are subject to space availability, so please make sure to register as early as possible. If you have any trouble with the online registration form, please call our office at 913-588-1255.

Why should I register early?
Space is limited for some activities, so please register early to reserve your spot. Once an event is full, we'll update the online schedule and online registration to reflect the change. You'll be notified if you have been placed on the waiting list for a specific activity.
How much does it cost to register?

Once I am registered, how do I change or cancel my registrations?
Contact the KU Medical Center Office of Alumni Relations at 913-588-1255 or alumni@kumc.edu to make changes to your registration or to cancel.

I am registered for Alumni Reunion Weekend. Now what?

The week of the event, you’ll receive an email with all the details you need for visiting campus, attending a virtual event, and/or for your reunion event(s).

How do I find out if my class has an event this year?
In 2023, we are moving away from separate class specific reunion events towards a singular reunion event that invites all alumni to attend a reunion celebration for their respective school or program. Class years ending in 3 and 8 are celebrating big anniversaries. We will continue to highlight these alumni throughout our programming. All alumni and their guests are welcome! I don’t see a reunion event listed for my class.
Only scheduled reunion events are listed. If you are interested in assisting in planning a reunion event, contact Micaela O’Bryan at alumni@kumc.edu. Inquires must be received by Friday, August 25.
Is there a registration fee for my class reunion event?
There may be registration fee for events where food and/or beverages are served. These fees vary depending on the reunion event and location. Please note the registration fees covers the cost of the reunion event only. See the full schedule for more information.
How do I connect with my classmates prior to our reunion?
You can see a list of other registrants and connect with your classmates via our Alumni Reunion Weekend app. Check your registration confirmation for more information about the app or see download instructions here.
Where can I stay?
We have a list of suggested hotels close to the Kansas City campus and where we’ve arranged for special rates. Please connect with the hotel directly to make a reservation.
Can I bring a guest?
Guests are always welcome! Make sure to register your guest when you register to ensure their spot. During registration, you will be prompted to register your guest.

Please note: This is a family-friendly event. However, there will be no special activities for guests under the age of 12.
What should I wear?
University Activities: Dress is business casual and comfortable for all daytime events on campus.
Reunion Events: Attire for reunion events will depend on the venue. Please check with your reunion contact or the Office of Alumni Relations if you have any questions.
Where do I park on campus?
Complimentary parking is available in the P4 Garage on the northwest end of the main campus. Turn east onto Adams Street and continue straight ahead to the ground-level garage entrance. The parking gate will be open throughout Friday, October 6. If you arrive and the gate is it closed, press the call button and tell the operator that you are an Alumni Reunion Weekend guest. We will send all registrants an email with a parking map the week of the event.

What if I need special accommodations?
To request accommodations such as wheelchairs, accessible parking and dietary needs, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (913) 588-1255 by September 15, if possible.
What should I know about getting around on campus?
The Kansas City campus is large and it can take several minutes to get from one building to another. If you need guidance while on campus, please see the Alumni Reunion Weekend registration table in the Health Education Building ground floor lobby.
Can I access the buildings on campus?
All University buildings on the Kansas City campus require a KU Medical Center badge for entry. The hospital and KU Endowment buildings do not require badge for entry. More information about accessing campus buildings will be provided to registrants the week of the event.
Where do I check in when I get to campus?
Registrants will receive information about visiting the campus the week of the event, including a parking map and directions to check into the registration area.
The check-in and registration table will be open 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the Health Education Building ground floor lobby. Stop by to check in and pick up everything you'll need for your day on campus. More information about check in will be sent to registrants the week of the event.
Where can I eat on campus?
Water, coffee and light refreshments will be available in the Health Education Building on the ground floor lobby. Other dining options are available on or near campus. See the dining map in the Alumni Reunion Weekend app.
How do I download the Alumni Reunion Weekend event app?
The event app is only available to Alumni Reunion Weekend registrants. Downloading the app is an easy process:
- Start by downloaded the app on your iPhone or Android device.
- Once it's downloaded, open the app and enter "Alumni Reunion Weekend" in the search bar.
- Tap the arrow button to download the event. Once it's downloaded, open the event.
- To login, you must enter your first and last name, and the email you used to register for the event.
- You'll receive an email and text message containing a verification code.
- Enter the code and tap the arrow to be taken to the event's homepage.

Why I am unable to download the event app?
If you're having trouble downloading the app, it could be your device's operating system. The app is only compatible on iPhones with iOS 14.1 or later, and only compatible on Android 10 or higher. Be sure to upgrade to the latest operating systems before downloading the event app.
What is difference between a confirmation code and verification code?
Your confirmation code is for your event registration. You will need it to make any schedule modifications or to cancel your registration. Confirmation codes can be found in the registration confirmation emails that are sent to all registrants.
Your verification code is for the Alumni Reunion Weekend event app. You will need this code to login into the app. Verification codes are sent via email and text messages during the login process for the app.
Why can't I find my verification code?
You may not have received your code because you used the wrong email address. When logging into the event app, you must use the email address you used to register for Alumni Reunion Weekend. Also, be sure to check your junk inbox in case the email was sent there.
Verification codes can only be used once and expire after 24 hours. If you're logging in on multiple devices, you'll receive a new verification code for each. Please contact alumni@kumc.edu if don't receive your code after three attempts.
What is the Alumni Awards Luncheon?
The luncheon celebrates our 2023 Alumni Award recipients. The Alumni Awards are the highest honors the KU Medical Center Alumni Association bestows upon graduates and those who made outstanding contributions to health care. Space is limited, so we recommend registering early.
Can I attend the Alumni Awards Luncheon virtually?
Yes, the ceremony will be broadcast live via Zoom for virtual attendees. The Zoom link will be sent to virtual attendees the week of the event, as well as an hour before the event begins.
How can I congratulate the award recipients?
If you are interested in congratulating our Alumni Award recipients, we welcome that! Please use our online form to send your congratulatory messages.
