Support KU School of Medicine’s Rural Medicine Interest Group with Sponsorships, T-Shirts

Student interest group is seeking physicians and practices who would like to partner.

The Rural Medicine Interest Group at KU School of Medicine began nearly 20 years ago and has grown to be one of the school’s largest student groups. We are open to all students from all years and our campuses in Kansas City, Salina and Wichita. We are seeking physicians and practices who would like to partner with our organization through the 2023-2024 school year, and we have three major initiatives available for sponsorship:

Lunch Sponsors: $500 full lunch or $250 half lunch

As we’ve continued to recruit students and host lunches, we are seeking donors to offset the rising costs of individual, to-go, boxed lunches for our 60+ students across our three campuses. With this donation, you and/or your practice will be invited to attend the selected luncheon and briefly speak about your practice or recruitment details before the scheduled programming to a variety of students interested in rural medicine.

NRHA Student Membership: $100 for 10 students or $50 for five students

After attending three meetings a semester, students are rewarded with an NRHA student membership to encourage continued involvement in rural medicine and to better track active membership. With this donation, you will sponsor some of the students’ memberships, which provide access to NRHA resources such as career networking, participation in NRHA elections and much more.

Rural Health Policy Institute: $1000 a student

Your donation would sponsor one board member’s travel and registration fees for this conference in Washington, D.C.

With this donation, you will receive updates from your sponsored student after the conference regarding their experience and what they learned, as well as an invitation to speak about your rural medicine experience, along with donation recognition, at one of our monthly lunch meetings.
