KU AHEC Leaders Earn National ACCME Certification
KCO career fairs bring together talent and organizations to strengthen care across the state
KU Area Health Education Center leaders recently earned professional certification from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), demonstrating the office’s ongoing commitment to excellence, integrity and innovation in continuing medical education.
Each year, KU Area Health Education Center (KU AHEC) offers top-notch continuing education for hundreds of health care providers in communities across Kansas and around the region. Program Director Kelly Sabol and Program Administrator Nikki Cooper completed the ACCME’s Implementing the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited CE certificate program. Kelly also earned a certificate in Data Management in Accredited CE.
ACCME’s competency-based certificate programs equip CE professionals with practical, role-specific skills that strengthen their organizations’ ability to deliver high-quality, accredited education. Through a combination of coursework, collaboration and validated assessments, participants gain tools to enhance program design, data accuracy and compliance with accreditation standards.
Earning these advanced credentials is just one way that the KU AHEC team is pursuing its mission to improve the health of Kansans by developing a skilled health care workforce through education, training and leadership.
