WOMEN IN HEALTH CARE 2023
Aspiring young women with a passion for health care can seize an extraordinary opportunity this fall during the annual Women in Health Care program, taking place from Nov. 8 to 10, 2023. Hosted by the AHEC, this three-day event is designed to inspire and guide 14-16 high school junior and senior female students from Kansas who have demonstrated a strong interest and commitment to health care careers. This life-changing experience offers students a chance to immerse themselves in the world of health care, providing insights, mentorship and connections that can shape their future careers.
What sets Women in Health Care apart is its commitment to making this opportunity accessible to all selected students. Those chosen to participate will receive transportation, hotel accommodations and meals — all provided at no cost to the students. It's a commitment to leveling the playing field and ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder promising talent in the health care sector.
Although registration is closed for this year’s event, additional programs remain open to interested students.
