Professional Background

Isabelle Moreland, Au.D., CCC-A, CPS/A, joined the faculty of the KU School of Health Professions in November 2024. A clinical assistant professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech, she teaches courses on hearing aids and leads the clinical education activities for the clinical doctoral program in audiology at KU Medical Center. Moreland also provides clinical audiology services focused on the evaluation and treatment of tinnitus and hyperacusis at the neuroaudiology clinic for The University of Kansas Health System. In addition, she supervises KU audiology students in direct clinical care, providing mentorship and fostering clinical competency.

Professional Background
Prior to her position at KU Medical Center, Moreland developed extensive clinical experience, including in the areas of vestibular diagnostics and occupational audiology. Previous employment included management of clinical operations and providing clinical training to newly hired staff and students. She also led rehabilitative services for patients with vestibular disorders and worked with patients from newborns to geriatrics, addressing a wide range of audiological needs. Moreland has provided training to clinical audiology staff and taught certification and recertification courses from the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.

Moreland earned a doctorate in audiology in 2017 and a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders in 2014, both from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas.
