Heather Black, EdD, is an accomplished higher education leader with 20 years of experience in student affairs, strategic planning, and inclusive leadership. She currently serves as Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the KU School of Nursing, overseeing recruitment, admissions, advising, clinical placements, and graduation for undergraduate and graduate students. Heather’s career spans senior leadership roles in Student Affairs where she championed student outcomes, strategic planning, and holistic student wellness. Heather is a collaborative practitioner who is passionate about fostering belonging, mentoring staff, and providing innovative services and programs that empower students to thrive academically and personally.
