Grace H. Shih, M.D.

Professional Background

Dr. Grace Shih is a Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She serves as the Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology. Dr. Shih received her medical degree from The Ohio State University. She completed her training in anesthesiology at the Medical College of Virginia followed by a fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Besides her interest in Obstetric anesthesia, Dr. Shih’s other interests include physician wellness and gender equity. Dr. Shih was awarded the Joy McCann Professorship, Women in Medicine and Science in 2019.
