Professional Background

Dr. Gretchen Homan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and has been with the department for over 10 years. Dr. Homan has a bachelor degree in Biochemistry from Wichita State University and earned her medical degree from Kansas University (KU). Dr. Homan’s interests are in primary preventive healthcare and advocacy and she is the president-elect for the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP). Dr. Homan has collaborated on quality improvement projects with the Kansas Health Foundation, KAAP and she was the chair of the Immunize Kansas Coalition (IKC) from 2018-2019. Dr. Homan has earned the AAP continuing medical education (CME) award for each year since 2011.
