The Botanic Gardens at the University of Kansas Medical Center offer a unique opportunity to pay tribute to a loved one, honor a friend or commemorate a major life event. A special message engraved on one of the garden's benches will be a lasting reminder of life's important occasions, including: birthdays, marriages, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, and final memorials.

Dedicated Bench

A dedicated bench, nestled into a perfect spot in the Gardens, offers a thoughtful resting place to enjoy the Gardens. A bronze plaque inscribed with your personalized message will be placed on the backrest of the bench. Each bench is $5000. Choose from 2 bench styles:

Style A - Textured grey 6' cast steel bench with arms and a zinc plaque,
is available for placement on the campus north of 39th Street

Style B - Black 6' cast steel bench with arms and a zinc plaque,
is available for placement on the campus south of 39th Street.

The bench plaque is 2" x 10". Maximum of 3 lines of text, up to 55 characters per line.

Memorial Trees

Mark the heartfelt occasions in life with a memorial tree. Each tree is $700. This includes a hand-picked 2” caliper tree, planting, mulching and routine maintenance.
