Professional Background

Eric Vidoni, PT, PhD, is Director of the Outreach, Recruitment and Education Core for the University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Vidoni got his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2001. In 2008, he completed his MSPT and PhD as part of a joint curriculum at the University of Kansas. WiHe supports and directs the Kansas Dementia and Aging Research Training Program. As core director, he organizes dementia-focused educational outreach opportunities for healthcare providers and the lay public throughout the region.

Dr. Vidoni has also served as the Scientific Director of the Physical Health Interventions Team (PHIT). PHIT serves as a clinical trials unit for lifestyle studies (primarily diet and exercise). By using the PHIT, investigators at KUMC can draw on over 30 year of collective experience with community and lab-based exercise and lifestyle modification trials.
