Professional Background

Practicing medicine involves both having a good fund of basic medical knowledge and providing compassionate care to patients. Throughout my time during residency and residency years, I enjoyed participating and leading internal medicine residents’ morning reports which I believe is a very important part of residents’ and medical students’ education by nurturing critical thinking abilities of internal medicine learners. I also continue to enjoy teaching during bedside rounds for medical students/residents, and striving to be a role model in providing a compassionate patient care for patients.

inpatient general medicine, KUMC. I am a practicing hospitalist at the university of Kansas health system. My clinical service over the year is divided into 13 weeks of direct care service which involves providing care to patients admitted to the general medicine inpatient services/performing admissions/triaging ED IM admission requests/cross covering patients on different general medicine inpatient services and 13 weeks of nocturnist service which also includes admitting patients to inpatient general medicine services/triaging ED IM admission requests and cross covering general medicine inpatient services. I also work as a consulting internal medicine physician at the Indian Creek campus. The majority of patients at IC are orthopedic surgical patient that I get consulted on to co manage their medical co-morbidities (2016 - Present)
