Dr. Eric Molloy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology with a clinical focus and also serves as the Medical Student Clerkship Director for the department.

Dr. Molloy's field of expertise is general Gastroenterology with a special interest in Bariatric (weight loss) Endoscopy and is a board certified diplomate of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Molloy is from Connecticut and received his Undergraduate Degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and then went on to receive his MD at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin, Ireland. Internal Medicine Residency was then completed at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina. Following this, he worked as a Hospitalist for a year in South Carolina followed by 4 years as a Clinical Instructor Hospitalist at the University of Chicago, Evanston, Illinois campus at NorthShore University HealthSystem. During this time, Dr. Molloy focused on teaching including serving on the residency oversight committee. He was honored with 'Internist of the Year' on three occasions. He then went on to complete Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Kansas Health System, Kansas City, Kansas and served as Chief Fellow and then stayed on as faculty.
